I can be a cyber bully sometimes. Not because I'm a tool, but because I have people to protect. Take this story:
The Lady called me one morning to let me know someone had sent her a creepy facebook message as follows;
Wow you are very pretty. How old are you?
Now I could have done lots of things. But I decided to have some fun.
So this is Stacy's fiance. First I'd like to congratulate you by introducing yourself like a complete creeper, I like how you didn't waste any time cutting to the chase; you think she's pretty & want to know her age? I'd give that a 2/5 on the pedophile meter. It's creepy enough to be a legitimate concern but you could just be socially awkward so I'll cut some slack there. Then I did a search using what information I had about you. I understand this could be another[name deleted] from Copperas Cove[ha, probably not] but if this is you: Graduating class of 1979? Really? That makes you 29-31. You just keep creeping[see what I did there?] up that Pedo-Meter don't you. Tip of the day- If you have to ask how old someone is & they're not a friend of your child they are probably young enough that you should stay away. While I understand that all friends are strangers at some point you could always start with strangers that- and I'm just throwing these examples out here- live in the same area of a state as you, are near your own age, attend Creepers Anonymous, go to the gym. I'm sure one of those suggestions will help you. The point is I'm suggesting you really up your game in getting to know people, preferably in a slightly less uncomfortable method then messaging total strangers over networking sites that could be your niece. Just wanted you to know that you will be blocked. Have a good one!
Although I was wrong on one account. He's actually older! If he graduated in 79 he's not 29-31, he's 49 or 50. So much fun to think about. We spent the rest of the night creating an origin story for him, all the things he did in life that put him in such an awkward, desperate, facebook stalking state of life.
